We do both, and the problem decides which. A Wi-Fi signal that dies in one room, or a desktop that will not power on, needs a person standing next to it. A mailbox that stopped syncing or a program that refuses to open can usually be handled on a screen share. We talk it through on the phone first so you are not paying for a trip that was not needed.

Not at all. Plenty of our visits start with one niggle, like a scanner that only works on one computer or a phone that will not pick up work email. Those little things cost real time every week. If you have a few of them saved up, write them down and we can usually work through the list in the same visit.

Both, and often from the same household. We see families with a shared computer, retirees keeping in touch with the grandkids, and sole traders running a business from the spare room. Small offices and shops are welcome too. What we are not set up for is a large company that needs a full-time IT department on call around the clock.

We tell you the price before any labour starts or parts are ordered, and nothing goes ahead until you say yes. If the job grows once we are into it, we pause and explain why before going further. Where a repair turns out not to be possible, No Fix, No Repair Fee applies, and you still get honest advice on your next step.
