How we look after your privacy

We treat your details with care. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you contact us, visit our website, request a quote, book a service, or otherwise interact with our business.

Last updated: 3 August 2026.

Why we ask for your details

We collect personal information only where it is reasonably necessary to operate our business and provide our services. This may include communicating with you, preparing quotes, scheduling appointments, completing services, processing payments, maintaining records, improving our website experience and meeting legal or regulatory obligations.

What details we may collect

➡️ Your name, phone number, email address and service address

➡️ Billing details and payment-related information, including payment status, invoices, deposits, and transaction references processed through our payment providers

➡️ Online booking details such as service type, preferred date and time, issue description, client type, optional issue photos, and your selected payment option (pay in full, deposit, or pay when we arrive)

➡️ Service address and scheduling details needed to confirm and deliver an onsite visit within our published service areas

➡️ Enquiry details, service history and communication records

➡️ Information submitted through forms, bookings, surveys or support requests

➡️ Website usage information such as cookies, analytics data and device/browser activity

➡️ Employment or contractor application information if you apply to work with us

How we receive your details

➡️ Directly from you through phone calls, emails, forms, quotes, invoices, the online booking app, or other service bookings

➡️ Through our website, cookies, analytics tools and digital platforms

➡️ Through social media, advertising forms or online enquiry channels

➡️ From a person authorised to act on your behalf

➡️ From publicly available sources where appropriate and lawful

How we use your details

We use your information to respond to enquiries, deliver services, arrange appointments, issue quotes and invoices, provide support, maintain service records, improve our operations, protect our business from misuse or fraud and communicate important updates relevant to your booking or request.

Online booking, pricing estimates and payments

➡️ When you use our online booking app, we collect the information needed to schedule your appointment, show applicable visit fees and payment choices, prepare invoices, and deliver the booked service.

➡️ For onsite bookings, your service address is used to confirm that we can attend, schedule the visit, and prepare for service. Standard Assessment w/ Standard Onsite Fix bookings use a flat visit fee with no separate call-out or travel fee within our published service areas. The applicable visit fee and payment choices are shown during booking, on your quote, or on your invoice.

➡️ If you choose pay in full or pay deposit, payment is processed through Stripe or another secure payment provider. We receive booking and payment status information such as whether a deposit or full payment was completed, but we do not directly store your full card number on our own systems.

➡️ If you choose pay when we arrive, we still collect and store your booking details to confirm your appointment. No online payment is required at the time of booking confirmation for that option.

➡️ Booking confirmation and service-related emails or messages may be sent using the contact details you provide during booking.

➡️ Optional issue photos uploaded during booking are used only to help us understand your request and prepare for service, unless a longer retention period is reasonably required for service records, dispute review, or legal obligations.

How we store your details

Your information may be stored in secure digital systems, business software, accounting platforms, email systems and related databases used to operate PC Scientist. We take reasonable steps to keep this information secure and accessible only where needed for legitimate business purposes.
